There is a lot of talk about giving horses back their power and giving them a voice.
But how can we advocate for them if we are unable to stand in our own power and make our own voice heard?
We can listen to our horses and hold space for them all we like, but if we can’t model that authenticity for them and show that we trust and believe in our own true selves, how can we expect them to trust us enough to join us in collaborative partnership? How would they know who they are dealing with?
How do we train a horse without taking anything away from them?
We could begin by giving back what’s already been taken – from them or from ourselves…
